Willans Green, Rugby
The Willans Green Debut project, which won the BRE Ecohomes award in 2006, consisted of 120 new build starter homes and adopted an innovative central services strategy to provide heat, hot water and power to each dwelling. The dwellings which were constructed in a modular arrangement of small blocks were a response to the Governments challenge for a £60,000 dwelling and the scheme was the forerunner for a succession of similar schemes.
Debut by Redrow
Following on from the huge success of the award winning Willans Green project, Redrow Group have appointed King Associates as their Building Services designers for a rolling programme of Debut projects including those at Sittingbourne, Buckshaw Village, Selby, Castlevale, Bunkers Hill, St Davids Park and many others. The design which constantly evolves as new low carbon technology and high efficiency equipment becomes available, now includes over 1000 dwellings all designed, constructed and occupied in the spirit of high quality affordable housing.
